What to see in O Grove
The area in which we are located, Las Rias Baixas, is the most touristic area in Galicia and one of the most touristic in all of northern Spain. O Grove in particular, is a peninsula located at the entrance to La Ría D’Arousa and a municipality of tourist excellence.
We are surrounded by tourist, natural and gastronomic attractions that will ensure that during your stay at the Bosquemar Hotel you have a multitude of options to choose from to enjoy your free time.
You cannot miss a visit to O Grove. The beaches, the hot springs and the seafood make the town of O Grove one of the most well-known tourist attractions in Galicia.

The Rías Baixas are an area that is home to some of the best beaches in the entire country. Many of them have been awarded the blue flag, a recognised distinction that is given to some beaches after passing demanding sanitary-environmental levels.
The closest to our hotel are Area Das Pipas and Area de Reboredo, two beaches of fine white sand that are sheltered, making them very suitable for all types of public, including families.
Apart from these, we are completely surrounded by the sea, so there are many beaches in both O’Grove and La Toja, in San Vicente or a little further south (just 15 minutes away) in the area of Sanxenxo and Portonovo.
Probably the most famous beach in the entire The area is Playa de la Lanzada, a long and beautiful virgin beach open to the sea.
Apart from the beaches, the entire area is characterized by being a very rich natural environment both in terms of landscape and our world-renowned hot springs.

La Toja Island is one of the most special visits in O Grove
It is one of the best known islands in Galicia for being a renowned thermal center. It has spas, a golf course, a marina, a convention center, a casino and a shopping center among other attractions.
La Toja is a paradise, where there are no crowds and where the only sounds are the murmur of the sea and the whistling of the wind as it brushes against the trees, where time has no other clock than the sun.
It also preserves a dense virgin pine forest so you can enjoy nature.

Villages in Rías Baixas near O Grove that you have to visit
Starting with the town where we are, O’Grove, a fishing village that maintains its life and traditions, where you can enjoy the streets, the squares, the sculptures in the streets, the aquarium or the multitude of restaurants and bars where you can enjoy Galician gastronomy and wine.
Continuing along the Island of La Toja, which is across the bridge, passing through towns such as San Vicente Do Grove until reaching the lively Portonovo, Sanxenxo or Cambados, the birthplace of Albariño, followed by Villanueva and Villagarcía de Arousa.
A little further away, 40 minutes away, we find the capital, Pontevedra and 55 minutes away is the largest urban centre in Las Rías Baixas, Vigo.

To get to know the Rías Baixas and the islands found here in depth, there is a wide range of boat trips available.
Small cruises leave from O’Grove itself, as well as one of the most famous excursions, the one that goes to the mussel rafts. There you can see how they are raised and how they are caught and, of course, have a tasting on the boat itself.
Other popular excursions are the one that leaves from Portonovo and leaves you to spend the day on the Ons Islands and those that leave from Cangas de Morrazo or Vigo to make the spectacular tourist visit to the Cíes Islands Natural Park.
