History, birth and consolidation of a dream
Who we are
This project begins with a couple of Galician emigrants who, like many others in the sixties, had to pack their bags and go in search of a better life. Servando and Sebastiana, first in Paris for a few years and then on the French Atlantic coast, specifically in the tourist beach area of La Baule, where there were already those low-rise hotels surrounded by vegetation, without crowds and with beautiful beaches, like ours, but a worse climate than ours, and yet they managed to attract thousands of tourists.
A project that opted for quality and constant growth and evolution to offer its clients unforgettable experiences

The first years, a small hostel that kept growing
At that time, in their native Reboredo (O Grove), the couple’s house was already taking shape. After several years in France and several winter seasons in Switzerland working in hotels, with the experience acquired, upon returning, they decided to set up a small hostel with just 10 rooms, in the middle of nowhere, where to get there you had to come on purpose, where at that time it was still common to use a cow cart for the fields and where there were hardly any services such as the telephone.
It was discovered in its beginnings by French tourists who were looking for something different, virgin beaches, far from all the hustle and bustle. Within a few years, it was expanded to about 25 rooms and soon after to the current 34, always being a reference for foreign tourism in Galicia.

Gastronomy has always been one of our hallmarks
And we have always been a place highly appreciated for our cuisine. The use of products, especially from the garden, which were already known in Europe but were yet to be discovered here, also encouraged them to cultivate their own garden, which continues to this day. This, together with other types of European cooking recipes, was forging a recognition and a path that resulted in appearing in the Michelin guide in the 1970s.




The 90s: we continue to focus on quality and sustainability
In 1991, the second building of the Anexo Bosque Mar complex was built, becoming a hotel of a certain size, with rooms and apartments, well-known and consolidated in the hotel industry in Galicia.
We were among the first to focus on quality. We have had the Q for Quality since 2000, being the oldest hotel in Galicia to date to achieve this, which was followed by a series of other environmental recognitions.

A family hotel with a very clear philosophy that has not changed since its beginnings
The hotel has changed a lot since its beginnings, but it has never lost its essence as a family-run, friendly hotel, always managed by the family, with the utmost respect for the environment and trying to provide the best possible service. Although its founders have now retired, they continue on the marked path of good practice.
In fact, they still live next door and help in any way they can to stay close to this project that is being continued by the next generation, who have been at the helm of this beautiful project for a few years now, which continually seeks to evolve with the times and remain firm in its commitment to sustainability, the environment and the land in which we find ourselves.
